Visit the world-famous Moravian Karst, the Punkevní Caves, and the Macocha Abyss (approx. 30 minutes by car).

Culture and History:

Discover the romantic Bouzov Castle or explore the historic town of Boskovice with its castle, chateau, and a unique Western park for the whole family.

Local Attractions:

Visit Velké Opatovice Chateau and enjoy a peaceful walk in the Řehořkovo Kořenecko Nature Park.

Experiences and Relaxation:

Former Spa in Velká Roudka: Although the complex is now in decline, it still has its charm. You will find two springs with very high-quality water (František’s Spring and Antoníček’s Spring). They are freely accessible, so you can fill up “healing” water directly at the source.

Hanýsek Educational Trail: This trail will guide you from Velké Opatovice through Velká Roudka to Borotín. It is easy and suitable for children (you will be accompanied by Hanýsek the fox).

Opatovické Hradisko Hill: Perfect for lovers of history and scenic views. Visible remains of prehistoric fortifications can be found here, and it is one of the highest points in the area.

Where to Cool Off (Swimming):

Velké Opatovice Swimming Pool: A modern complex with a 70 m water slide, additional slides, and facilities for children. It is literally just over the hill from us.

Březina Natural Swimming Area (approx. 7 km): Ideal if you prefer natural water and a quieter environment.

Letovice Reservoir (Křetínka): Great for swimming, boating, and fishing. A larger body of water with beautiful views – perfect for a full-day trip.

Smolná Reservoir near Jevíčko (5 km).

Moravská Třebová Aquapark: If you are looking for more activities, this town offers a very nice modern outdoor complex.

Borotín Forest Swimming Area: 1.5 km on foot through the forest.

Culture and Landmarks:

Velké Opatovice Chateau: A landmark of the neighboring town. In addition to a beautiful park with a unique five-trunk pine tree (it looks like a dragon!), you will find the Moravian Cartographic Center here – a unique map exhibition featuring a giant relief map of Moravia and Silesia.

Sandstone Reliefs of Petr Bezruč and J. B. Foerster: Located in the forest near Opatovice (toward Letovice). They were carved directly into the rock by sculptor Karel Otáhal.
